well. i’ve been busy busy and lazy lazy. but its post 100 time. ta da. its been a while so there will be a lot to say, and a lot to say about stuff to come.

well since the last post ever so long ago. the office has moved, and even though its not 100% done yet (something like 65% done, we still need lights) the place is awesome. foozball table hasn’t been leveled, so we haven’t had the chance to have the ceremonial inaugural game. i think the new bubble hockey table has kinda deterred us from that. soon though soon. works been busy though. lots of new projects, lots coming down the pipe, some that are just design as well. january will be scary though. steve is gone for two weeks to korea/japan and hes been working overtime (including weekends) lately, and iv been busy all hours of the days as well. so we will see what happens. company christmas party is tomorrow night, then saturday i’m off to vancouver so i will at least get a 2 week’ish break before i’m mauled by januray.

whistler here i come. well vancouver as well. holidays will be interesting, lots of good and bad stuff will be happening but i wont get into that. can’t wait to get snowboarding. almost got out over the past weekend, but things didn’t align. once thing that has amped me up is a new snowboarding video i caught. picture this. to me this is utterly amazing. i had somewhat high expectations from the trailer and once i saw it i just wanted more. snowboarding video you say, their all the same. well this one is fresh, and i hope other take notice. i do agree most snowboarding videos are cookie cutter. this one breaks the mold and i hope MDP gets a lot more opportunities to get more stuff of this quality out. as well the music in the whole video is awesome. mainly none of it is main stream and has opened me up to some new artists. one of which might make me do my first itunes purchase. definitely check it out.

o januray. pretty much once i’m back from out west i move into my new place downtown. so that will be a week long process. and then some. work will be loaded up cause we have to get a bunch of stuff done for CES 2nd week of january. i’m on design for all of them. as well there is a client with a project for CES as well. there was some talk of a couple people from tek going down. i have no idea if that includes me or not. but will add to my madness. would happen over my birthday though. birthday in vegas…. wow.. that could be crazy. then later on i’m helping lisa out with some craziness down in kingston. congrats to her though. she got her interview at waterloo. so thats two weeks of up and down. so by the time january 31st roles around maby i’ll tackle a box or two.

new place will be nice though. its down town in a nice area. right next to the canal pretty much, and with the bike path that goes along it, that will be some nice long boarding on a saturday or sunday afternoon. the area is nice as well. its right across from a dog park and in a more classic part of ottawa. plus its right next to elgin, club/bar street. not really my thing, but there is also lots of food and coffee places. so once i scrap some cash together for a laptop (as in better than my 4 year old one) i’ll be writing this sort of stuff in a nice coffee shop on a nice weekend morning with a nice cup of coffee… nice..

i’ve worked out a plan for a new portfolio/brand site, as well as a new blog. main issue is getting time. not just random time. but nice long solid allotment of time to work out the design and style and get it up. one main thing i want to do is tie it in more with stuff i have on my flickr account. or more stuff that will soon be there. i’m trying to take more pictures and my camera more places to get more chances. so a lot of new stuff will be popping up. not just even stuff. i don’t see myself doing a day to day flickr post, but i will post to a new set of the more general and random shots that i take. getting this stuff going over the holidays is my goal. i will have some time out west to get some stuff down and decided. my 2005 portfolio will be scrapped, with 2008 being my up to date portfolio and such. we will see how much stuff i can get up there. at first it will be minimal, but once some stuff gets finished here and there i will have more i will be able to get up. there are a couple other experimental things i want to get going on so i hope that happens as well.

the new year will happen soon, and lots have things have changed. new place to live, new office, new focus, new beginings in a new year. almost perfect timing. almost like it was planned. to a degree. as well seems to look like its going to start out with a bang.
