got sent down to “flash in the can” (fitc) by teknision with 3 other people from the company for an all out 4 ish day design and technology conference.. lots of good ass session and fun times… didn’t get out to a lot of the parties but tried. pretty much missed the open bars with blows since i spent a good 24 dollars on rye and cokes at the battle event and didn’t even get a buzz going. ah well. good times… got to hang out with the tek crew, the old algonquin crew, and the current 3rd year algonquin crew. awesome sauce all around.

the finetune wii player was up for an award in the audio category. but apparently the supposed “teknision curse” stooped us from actually picking up the award. out of the 4 people sent but tek, i apparently was the only one who actively worked on the project, thus i was going to have to go up and accepted as well as make an ass of myself as i pull a speech out of my ass… on how awesome i am…

but ya.. good conference to finally go to.. hope i get to go again next year. got to see a lot of the top people in the industry (design, flash, and video) explain their stuff and go though their process and give some good advice on how to be constantly active and re-engineering yourself in the industry. overall i got a lot of good stuff from my time there.

sooo, on saturday, nic and i hit up montreal to, one, pick up kristoph to come chill for the weekend, and two, pick up ian a longboard…. so ya. of that picture, my nice cool white one is, well, mine… nics is the nicely used black one.. both are section 9’s…. mines just cooler… cause i have bigger wheels. .. . . ya im sticking with that story.. but yes.. as of my third time out on it iv already scraped up my left fore arm and palm..

but lets hope not much more of that happens now…

pretty impressed so far… they even added fading pallets when you leave photoshop or go to your desktop (some cs3 apps don’t seem to do it though) but by any means, the psd importing into flash is by far the best thing in my eye. i use photoshop for mainly anything flash related. im not a big fireworks person. but ya.. extremely impressed with that.

on another note… the icons.. which i had bitched about a while back when they were released… do look nicer in the dock than i expected… though i still feel the lack in branding design is a downfall and disappointment. they use a lot of bright colours for their application splash screens and look awesome on my 22″ cinema.

well, another year, another end to the timmies roll up the rim to win fun’ness. got 4 free coffee’s out of it this year (thats 2 of em up there… in a row…). no car or money.. ah well always next year.

well… i just spend the last two days moving out. so now im shacked up with my long time childhood buddie, should be good. but ya, didn’t really realize exactly how much crap i had, and how much really needs to be tossed. but aside from that i got a pretty decent set up going in terms of studio/computer’age. bed room is decent. gona be a while till i can get that pimpin, but seems my aunt and uncle have a nice large bed their willing to give away. so thats the sweetest part of that. il have some pics up once i get things cleaned up and put away etc.. lots of piles of junk still needing a home, and no wall decorations are up at all so its a lil bland. but in the end it will be sweeeet.
